6 Months was a big month for us! Baby's 1st plane ride, smashed bananas and serious progress on SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! (Hallelujah.) Mommy took Colton on his first plane ride all by herself. Mommy was clearly more nervous for this cross country adventure than Colton was. He did amazing on all 4 flights! Take off from Moline scarred the poop out of him, literally. He was the smelly kid on the plane. Better to be the smelly kid than the screaming kid! During our visit to PA, we went to the Pennsylvania Maple Festival. Tried spotza (spot on snow) and sugar water directly from the Maple tree. His Grandpa Troutman (Pap) tried feeding him/teasing him with a peanut butter sandwich. This prompted Mommy to move on to our next food milestone-fruits and veggies. Smashed bananas. He loves them like his Mommy does. We'll see if he craves the Whiteys banana shake someday!
Bedtime Routine is such a special time. Nurse, cereal, bath, baby massage, books, bottle, prayers and sleepy time. Since the 6 month mark, Colton has been sleeping through the night much more frequently. It is such a blessing. In those beginning weeks with insane sleep deprivation, I began to understand how people confess to crimes they never committed simply because of a lack of sleep. And when I say "sleeping through the night," its from 7:30ish-7ish. A. MAZ. ING.
